Trinity is proud to have Dr. Michael J. King as our Medical Director.
Dr. King completed medical school at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in 1965. He interned and received resident training at the District of Columbia General Medical Center. Dr. King completed his resident training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York.
Dr. King served as a Major in the U.S. Army where he was Chief of Cardiovascular Services at Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his army career, he was awarded the Certificate of Achievement, U.S. Army, 18th Airborne Corps.
After completing his service with the U.S. Army, Dr. King went on to receive Specialty Training as a Fellow in Cardiology at New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. King relocated to South Florida and served as Attending Physician for Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at Miami Heart Institute and Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach until his retirement in 1998. Throughout his lengthy career, Dr. King has written numerous published medical papers and articles.
Dr. King has held teaching appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Medicine at University of Miami School of Medicine.
Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty in Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. King has held fellowships with the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, Florida Thoracic Society, American College of Cardiology and the Council of Clinical Cardiology, American Heart Association.
